mitt-romney-4.jpg  Romney is showing his ’skills’ on the economy as well as his fraud nature, that’s why nobody likes him…

john-mccain-2.jpgMccain is looking like a cat that ate the canary.

071028_pauliowa_vmed_3p_widec.jpg Ron Paul looks like an angry old man.

mike-huckabee.jpg  And Huckabee well, he’s just trying to get a word, begging to get a word in…

  1. The worst debate for anyone I’ve seen. CNN did a horrible job on this. Mr. Cooper owes a public apology to Ron Paul.

Yes Paul looked mad and so would you if you were treated as badly in public as he was.

  2. Romney talks in circles, blah, blah, blah! McCain was a gentleman, Paul was not given any time to debate (totally unfair) & when he did CNN cut out the applause?! Huckabee also couldn’t get a word in. Very dissappointing! I wonder who paid CNN off??

  3. It is OK for Obama and Ted Kennedy and everyone else with a brain to object when Bill Clinton plays the race card and dirty but it is not OK for Romney to defend his integrity and position even after ALL THE PRESS has called McCain a liar.

  4. Hey Rob, I don’t think CNN owes Ron Paul an apology. I think Ron Paul should accept the fact that he’s does not have a chance of getting nomination (just like Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani, John Edwards et al..lol) and that he’s just wasting time right now, others have seen the writing on the wall why hasn’t he?

As for Huckabee not getting a word in I agree with you Michelle I think that they should’ve asked him more questions and allowed him more time to express him opinions on the economy and the Iraq war..every time he talked I could tell he was a bit annoyed because it seemed like they were saying, “Oh yeah Huckabee is still in this thing right?” And I think that was quite rude and unfair..

Afisher, as for Mccain being a liar I’ll this what Mccain did was low..it was a low blow. We all know that Romney never said that he wanted/supported the idea of a timetable for withdrawal but I think the bigger issue Mccain was trying to address was that fact that Romney is never willing to stick his head out unless he’s sure it isn’t going to be chopped off and as leader you NEED to be able to take unfavorable positions.

And I think Mccain showed Romney up, in this area, quite easily.

Romney has to walk a really thin line when it comes to attacking Mccain and that’s poses a real dilema for him..how to appear strong when attacking Mccain the politician, without appearing to dishonour or disrespect Mccain the war hero.

And unfortunately Romney hasn’t and probably wouldn’t be able to do that.

Thanks so much for the comments guys. I love these conversations!

  5. I don’t care who anyone supports. Dr. Paul is keeping the debate alive on the issues the others duck. The only anti-war candidate in the Republican debate is a tough place to be. He is viable and may even win states. When that happens what becomes the comment?

I don’t want a CNN apology, I want a personal one from Mr. Cooper. Serious people want to talk about the issues we face, everyone here included. The country is on the wrong track. So pick and choose.

Do you want war —- Yes or No

Do you want a balanced budget —— Yes or No

    Then who will do it?

Don’t strain too hard on this. There is only one answer. But that is being controlled by the media.

So Democrat this fall will be the answer. No war and no economy.

I guess I’m greedy, I wanted both. Guess I’ll go back to writing mortgages and trying to save peoples homes from the train wreck we are in. It’s just hard sometimes to sit here and watch people crying when they are being evicted because our economy is feeding a war machine.

  6. I’ve been following the candidates for a few months now and I don’t understand why some people dislike Romney…

What is wrong with being rich? He erned it by being smart and being a good business man which is one of the things I admire about him. I wish I could have the smarts and business skills like he does.

As a governor, he worked for free!! I don’t know any other politicians who worked for free? Do you?

It’s the media and the other candidates that’s giving him a bad reputation. It is so unfair. It reminds me the “good old boys” club… Unforunately, Romney is not part of it and Mccain is.

John Mccain may be a war hero but his personality and his strong position on war scares me. If Romney doesn’t get nominated, I’m voting for Obama. If Obama doesn’t get nominated either, then I’m staying home since I have no desire to vote for neither Mccain nor Hillery.
