At one minute past midnight tonight the United States military ended its ban on openly gay men and women serving in the military.
It took 18 years to repeal ”don’t ask don’t tell” and in my opinion that was too damn long but at least now my gay friends and gay people everywhere in America, who are eligible and wish to according to militaryspot.com, “defend the United States and its territories; support national policies and objectives; and defeat adversaries responsible for aggression that endangers the peace and security of the United States and our allies,“ can do so proudly and with the support of most, if not all, of their fellow citizens!
HOOAH!!!
