I am eagerly looking forward to tonight’s Republican Presidential debate at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. The debate sponsored by The Washington Post/Bloomberg will focus almost entirely on the economy.
Will Mitt Romney finally realize that the nomination is in his grasp and will he finally grab?
Will Herman Cain, not disregarding his rise in the polls, show that he has the depth of knowledge and character needed to be a serious presidential candidate?
To be honest I don’t think any of the other candidates, on the stage tonight will have a viable shot at the nomination they are all struggling to raise money, struggling to be heard, struggling to get energy and momentum behind and in their campaigns, with maybe the exception of Ron Paul, however Perry, Romney and Cain have the most to lose or gain after tonight’s Presidential Debate.
Who will emerge ahead of the pack? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
You know sometimes you come across a story on the net that either makes you want to burst out laughing or hit your head against a wall and scream, “Why!! Why!! Why!! ? Well, I came across one such story earlier today.
Jeon apparently had some free time on his hands after his internship and he decidecd, this UCLA, Math major who doesn’t speak a word of Arabic, has no connections to Libya whatsoever decided to go there to fight with the rebels because..wait for it…because, “It is the end of my summer vacation, so I thought it would be cool to join the rebels.” He thought it would be cool!! Dude thought it would be cool!
Now obviously this guy can think logically, he’s a math major at UCLA and yet he thought it was quite logical to go to a war torn country, try to gain rebel acceptance and fight alongside them against one of the most brutal regimes that has ever existed. I don’t know if to laugh, cry or salute this crazy guy!
However, this isn’t surprising if you know just a little bit about Jeon. You see Jeon has taken these types of ‘vacations’ before travelling to Cambodia to spend time at a local orphanage that is surronded by landmines, he’s also been to the Amazon living with local families in Ecuador, Peru and Costa Rica and now he’s in Libya.
To be honest his last two vacations probably weren’t that far fetched I know two people who’ve taken similiar vacations to the Amazon but travelling to Libya as it’s in the throes of war is not a good time for him or them to be mingling with each other sampling Ghreyba and sipping tea.
But you know what I’ll let you decide if you think Chris Jeon is cool and if he belongs in any warzone other than -a digital one he can play on his computer.
Last time I checked Jeon was on his way home. Let’s hope he doesn’t plan to stop off in Afghanistan or Somalia on his way back home. Let’s hope!!!
I’ve seen some weird headlines in my life hell I’ve probably written a few myself but this is definitely one of the weirdest headlines and story I’ve ever seen from a mainstream news source!
I hope I used ’eh’ correctly if I didn’t I apologize..l0l.
Anyway, for a girl who can’t stand on a pair of skis correctly and regardless of all the winters I’ve spent trekking through the snow in Upstate New York and Michigan skis and ice skates are still foreign objects to me but I’ve always been fascinated with and absolutely adore the Winter Olympics.
And after watching the past three winter games I have to say and no disrespect to Salt Lake City or Turin the Vancouver Olympics were the best and frankly the most uplifting Winter Olympic games I have ever watched.
Canada, did a great job hosting the Olympic games and although the games began on a somber note with the death of Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, Canadians rose to the moment and allowed us to witness the best in most of the world’s greatest athletes and in themselves. If there is such a thing as a collective pat on the back each and every Canadian involved in hosting the Vancouver Winter Olympics deserves one.
Sarah Palin obviously doesn’t harbor any ill will towards John McCainand his former campaign aides well at least that’s what she wants you to believe.
In a few weeks Palin will help John McCain campaign for his senate seat. McCain doesn’t need any help in Arizona but it will be a nice photo op for Palin. Maybe it will remind all her supporters of the good old days..lol and who knows the senior Senator from Arizona might actually enjoy having her around for a few hours–this time.
Thisisn’t the first time Pat Robertson has spewed such disgusting, despicable comments but I hope it isn’t the last time he feels the warth of Americans and the global community for afflicting even more damageon the already depressed and downtrodden Haitian people.
Pat Robertson deserves a hell on earth for his hateful comments
