Can anyone explain to me why train operators are sending text messages while operating trains?
A reasonable explanation!! PLEASE!!!! ANYONE!!!!
Come on! Isn’t this a no-brainer?
Do we really need to make this a law in order to prevent accidents like this from happening?
TRAIN OPERATORS OR ANY OPERATOR OF A MASS TRANSIT VEHICLE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SEND TEXT MESSAGES WHILE OPERATING THEIR VEHICLES UNLESS IT IS TO ALERT FIRST RESPONDERS TO AN ACCIDENT OR POTENTIAL INCIDENT!!!!!!
Does the average intelligent human being really need to be told that while operating a 240 tonne vehicle, he/she should keep the distractions to a minimum?
And that those distractions should not include TEXT messages from a co worker/significant other/friend etc!!!!!!
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!
HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO DIE BEFORE WE PUT AN END TO THIS STUPIDITY?
