Texas Gov Rick Perry wins GOP debate by default

There’s not much to really write about after the GOP Presidential Debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California a few hours ago. I give the overall debate a 3 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being off the hook and 1 an absolute bore.

Current GOP front-runner and Texas Governor Rick Perry won. Well, he won by default. He won because none of the other candidates could actually land a political punch that didn’t seem contrived and insincere. When Romney and Perry attacked each other’s job record, early in the evening, the entire exchange between them with each pointing out that previous Governors Michael Dukakis in Massachusetts and George W. Bush in Texas were the real job creators in their states it seemed almost childish.

In addition, when Representative Ron Paul attacked Perry for not being nearly as conservative as he says he is, Perry accused Paul of betraying Ronald Reagan’s GOP. If you’ve seen Ron Paul’s latest ad TRUST which completely disses Rick Perry you may have thought Paul would’ve hit Perry a lot harder than that but he didn’t. I guess Paul decided he had more important things to tell the American people for example how he would eliminate airport security, dismantle FEMA and get us a gallon of gas for a silver dime!

And Former Governor of Utah Jon Huntsman, oh man, the guy just seemed out-of-place up there.

Yes, really that’s the best they could do. And Tea Party favorite, Representative Michele Bachmann, wasn’t really given the chance to say much she was thrown a couple of questions here and there but nothing that could really get her going. And the other three candidates, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum received the same treatment as Bachmann.

So with just a few sparks here and there from the other candidates Romney and Perry were allowed to pretty much go after each other and we expected that since the two have been declared the ones to beat with Rick Perry now leading most of the national polls.

But what was surprising, to me, was how easily the six other candidates were marginalized and dismissed. When either moderator, NBC’s Brian Williams or Politico’s John Harris decided to ask any of the other candidates a question I’m sure I’m not the only one who was thinking “Why are you guys even bothering?” since most of the debate was centered on either Romney or Perry.

To be honest,  if I had been one of the other candidates on stage tonight I wouldn’t be hard press to consider the entire evening a waste of my time.

The Golden Girls are now on Hallmark..

the-golden-girls-2

For the past few days I’ve been frantically flipping through Lifetime’s t.v schedule. I’ve been searching for The Golden Girls  and I couldn’t find the show’s listing anywhere! I thought I had screwed up the schedule or that I was just going crazy. But I finally solved the dilemma.

It’s moved!

The Golden Girls are now on Hallmark.

After eons on Lifetime Television the iconic 80s sitcom (and one of the best show on tv) has found a new home on the Hallmark channel.

Some of Lifetime’s most loyal viewers aren’t too happy with the network’s decision and many are planning on boycotting the network. Many want the network to return GG to their lineup or apologize for taking it off the air. One fan even declared they were having GG withdrawal.

I don’t know if the nework has to the capacity or desire to accomodate their demands but I can sympathize with these fans because I don’t know what I would do without my girls!

Look out Obama! Your first Republican challenger for 2012

Douglas Schulz  plans to announce his candidacy on January 20th because we have nothing better to do that day..lol.

So until the breaking news announcement comes our way YouTube will have to do.

Working for and against Wall Street [sic] and writing a few papers seems to have equipped Schulz to be our next president. Yup!

He also seems to be a big fan of creepy figurines (check out the elf riding a tiger on the bookshelf) but that will definitely help him win  .000001 percent of the popular vote (that guy in his basement with a million figurines..lol) thankfully, like every Republican he knows his enemies- the liberal media CNN, NBC, ABC and CBS.

God damn that liberal, vindictive, media they’ll get you every time.

Why couldn’t this be Obama’s only competition for 2012?

I don’t know if I should laugh or cheer hmmm…GO SCHULZ GO! GO SCHULZ GO! GO SCHULZ GO!

Tim Russert is dead!

OMG!! I can’t believe this but MSNBC is reporting that Tim Russert, the moderator of Meet The Press, NBC News Washington Bureau Chief and a great, great journalist is dead..

I’ve always kept a list of people that I would like to meet and Tim Russert was one of them, his line of questioning of guests on his show or candidates at a debate was truly fair and balanced and this garnered my admiration and respect while his overall ’down to earth’ television persona brought many a smile to my face…I still can’t believe that he’s gone..man…

Washington D.C, the politcal world, in fact the entire world will not be the same without him, he will truly be missed…

From Lincoln-Douglas to Clinton-Obama, how things have changed

Hillary Clinton has officially challenged Barack Obama to a debate without a moderator in the style of the Lincoln, Douglas debates back in 1858.

I must say that I do like the idea.

Regardless of all that has happened and all that will happen over the next few months. It fills me with great joy when I think about the fact that 150 years ago these two people, due to gender and race as a collective, couldn’t vote or take active participation in the affairs of this country and both were regarded as second class citizens.

And today, this black man and this woman are both serious contenders for the presidency of the United States.

At this moment in history we can all be proud of this great country… let’s all give each other a collective pat on the back..lol

Now, a moderator less Clinton, Obama debate would be an event worth watching and a debate for the history books. Can you imagine the ratings, it might actually beat and American idol finale..lol?

However, as a former debating society captain I know that you have to be on top of your game to handle this type of debating style and unfortunately Obama is not the world’s best debater and this format has the potential of hurting rather than helping his candidacy.

In addition Clinton would sling so much dirt during that debate that in the end Obama might be left wondering why he agreed to the debate in the first place.

However, the idea is definitely something that a network or an organization should explore for the presidential debates.

NBC projecting Obama to win Wisconsin..

barack-obama-2.jpg

With polls closing just 19 minutes ago they are projecting Obama as the winner..wow!!!  Clinton like I said a couple blogs ago is done for I just want to see how desperate she will become and how much stuff she’s going to sling before she accepts the inevitable..I mean plagerism isn’t all she’s got I’m sure..but it does go to show how desperate she’s become..

NBC and CNN ..too close to call…

Florida primary too close to call with 20% of Florida precints reporting Mccain  has 34% and Romney has 31%!

And CNN is saying that Hillary wins Florida why are we talking about the democratice primary these delegates don’t even count!

Romney wouldn’t disclose how much of his own he’s spending in Florida..

money..

Romney, can’t wait to run against the Clintons..he thinks the idea of Bill Clinton back in the White House with nothing to do is something he can’t imagine..he says that Hillary Clinton is Washington to the core and that sending the same people to Washington is not the way to change…

Romney wouldn’t tell how much of his own money he’s spending in Florida and he says he wouldn’t disclose that until January 31st…shady, shady, shady..says he’s the biggest contributor to his campaign…he’s not concerned about people saying that he’s buying Florida..nope, because he got people…lol..No, Tim he’s not going to answer your question..nah..he’s not going to..nah..nah..nah.. nah..lol..

He finally got one. Mitt Romney wins Michigan..

Mitt Romney

NBC projected Mitt Romney as the winner of the Michigan Republican primary..surprise, surprise!

How many millions did he have to spend to get one?

Early NBC entrance polls..

According to early entrance polls Obama and Clinton are neck and neck as well as Romney and Huckabee..
