Chelsea Clinton for President? You gotta be kidding..

What’s this? Do all the Clintons have plans of occupying the White House?

First the dad got it, now the mom wants it and soon the daughter might go after it..man,  I’m serious, the Clintons seem to think that the White House is their permanent home address..lol

Anyway, apparently Chelsea’s dad, Bill Clinton, thinks that his little girl might have political aspirations after being a surrogate for her mother this primary season.

All I have to say is if Chelsea Clinton plans to run for any office in this country, she’s gotta toughen up quite a bit and acquire some thicker skin. Cause the questions are going to be a whole lot tougher than the ones (or lack thereof) she got from a college students.

In addition, she wouldn’t or shouldn’t have the protection of her parents anymore and disparaging comments on the scale like the ones made by MSNBC’s David Shuster are going to come fast and furious and the journalists that state their observations aren’t going to be suspended or disciplined for reporting their conclusions instead they will be encouraged.

Kentucky is close so far, even though Clinton is the projected winner..

MSNBC has projected Hillary Clinton as the winner of the primary in Kentucky.

Clinton knows she’s not going to win the nomination or that it can’t be ‘handed’ to her by the super delegates but she’s got a point to prove and that is understandable. She’s Hillary Clinton. She got into this on her terms and she’s going to exit on them. Fair enough.

But the main story here would be if she only wins Kentucky by a slim margin now that would be the real story because it means Obama is making in roads with those white, blue collar democrats and that augurs well for the general election..

***Update****…Guess it wasn’t close after all..

Obama’s tune up..

every machine needs one..

Barack Obama said today that he’s going to fine tune his campaign in order to reach those low income, white voters that will be critical to winning the presidency come November after losing them by a pretty high margin to Clinton, once again, this week in Pennsylvania.

Obama as I have said on numerous occassions and in earlier blogs needs to reach out and connect with this demographic on their terms and in their communities in order to make inroads into Clintons’ base.

In order for Obama to win this constituency he must convincely and sincerely convey who he is and what he stands for since many even at this late stage still claim to have little or no knowledge about Obama.

Now, I don’t profess to know the inner workings of a presidential campaign or any political campaign but I do believe that if a candidate has had consistent problems with a particularly crucial demographic, like Obama has had with the white working class, he/she should work harder and consistently speak with the members of this group in order to understand why he/she isn’t at least breaking even with their opponent especially if they are both offering pretty much the same policies and ‘promises’.

This is what Obama needs to do.

He should be doing more impromptu stops. He should be greeting the farmer in his fields. The waitress at her dinner and the construction worker on the job site. And more importantly he should look comfortable doing it. He sometimes looks as though he doesn’t know what do in those settings and it comes off as if he’s uncomfortable around everyday folk he can’t appear that way anymore. This is the end game. And in the end game every thing matters.

His novelty, has started to wear off and he’s now got to show them, the white working class, why he’s the best and only man for the job and not just some black guy, with a Harvard degree and a funny name who is the democratic party’s flavor of the month.

I concede Obama, may never win the majority of them over completely for a number of reasons including race.

But, if he fights tooth and nail with Clinton and then McCain for every single white working class vote and he’s willing to convey that he understands and show that he respects that God and guns sometimes go hand in hand in many places in this land, without compromising his own core positions on specific issues like gun control I’m willing to bet the same people that are now voting for Clinton and have voted for a Republican in almost every single presidential election since 1977, wouldn’t ‘hold their noses’ and vote for him come November but will actually on voting day march to the polls in greater numbers than we expect and cast their ballots in support of the black guy, with a funny name because they know that he’s the best man for the job and he earned their votes and their respect just like any other candidate.

Ultimately, for the first viable black presidential candidate it boils down to if he can earn their respect he’ll gain their vote!

Now he’s talking about John McCain..

Finally tonight Senator McCain gets some airtime!!! You know he’s saying, “Thank God, I thought, you guys had forgotten about me,”..lol

Clinton wins Pennsylvania according to MSNBC..

she keeps on trying..

Clinton wins Pennsylvania according to MSNBC you don’t say..lol..well it’s on to Indiana and North Carolina.

Clinton still leading among white men..

According to MSNBC’s exit polls Obama is at 45% and Clinton at 55% among white men no real change from the last two primaries, and according to CNN 64% of white women voted for Clinton…

So Hillary will win Ohio and Obama Texas and it continues..

cliton-obama.jpg

So based on what i’m seeing..I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the race isn’t over..it will continue Hillary isn’t going to give up an inch after winning Ohio and Rhode Island and Obama isn’t going anywhere either after adding Texas and Vermont to his list..

So it’s on to a caucus in Wyoming on March 8th, a primary in Mississippi on March 11th and a primary in Pennsylvania on April 22!

Obama is good for the heart and the soul…

Watched John McCain..too bland… way too bland…  oatmeal.jpg

Watched Hillary..too sweet, not good for me...too-sweet.jpg

Watched Obama, just right….just-right.jpg and he’s good for the body and the soul too!
